Every day is worth celebrating, but especially around Independence day. So why not dress up a little (yes, even the dog! Is she just too cute, or what?) stick a few flags in the dirt and celebrate in style. Our decked out sunroom feels like a little America right here in East Asia.
We look forward to actually being on America soil July 4th, but for now monkey bread, gilled chicken sandwiches and make-shift S'mores will do. (Oh, what I would give for a Graham cracker right now and I think hot dogs are definitely on the "to eat in America" list!)
Taking a break from our endless, "Before we leave we have to..." to do list and the piles of clothes laying next to opened suitcases, we soak up some more family time as the 5 of us...these days are slipping by way too fast.
Since it has been cool enough, family dinners are here. Glowing paper lanterns illuminate this blessed oasis that beacons me to ignore my dishes and messy kitchen and sit just awhile longer.
