I don't really look forward to these 6 or so weeks of mostly cloudy skies and almost daily drizzle. Laundry still feels damp even after hanging inside for 24 hours. The silver lining behind that cloud though? Cooler temps. And this June has been especially mild with cool nights and breezes lulling me to a restful night's sleep. Once the rainy season is over, usually about mid July, the heat and humidity will take over.

When I was snapping pictures the other day I walked past the little "alter" not far from our house and noticed an "offering" of a hydrangea. How ironic.
