Garbage Kitty on the Prowl

The other morning we were greeted by a new feline friend at the garbage station. The person in charge of the garbage that week placed her there. Each house takes turns tiding up after the garbage truck comes by. You can see the yellow sign informing everyone that she was there to bravely protect those bags of refuse from scavengers.
I am not sure it really worked (she is after all made of fuzzy cotton and...doesn't move) but, anything to help keep those long beaked, loud cawing crows from picking holes and making a mess. At our last house the garbage was covered with big nets to keep out the Japanese crows that are much scarier (and possibly smarter?) than those in America. I'm not sure that even if she was real, though armed with a pink bow tied around her neck, that she could have done anything against those annoying birds more than twice her size
