We are so thankful that God has provided a house for us to rent in Tokyo. It is a wonderful blessing from God and an answer to our daily prayers for the last 1 1/2 years!! (It's the yellowy-tan house in the back.) It is only a short walk to the train station we wanted to live near so we can commute to the kids school and the church where we will be working.

We have been praying for a house where we can have our dog, and look! Is this place hand-picked by God for our family or what?

Here is our "genkan" - entrance way...make sure and take off your shoes and slip on those slippers in typical Japanese style.
Here is the token "tatami" (old fashioned Japanese style room with woven mat and paper doors) off of the main living room. We will probably put a rug down to protect the floor and use it as an office-study room.

I am excited to have 4 burners (usually only 2-3 in our previous places). Also, it is nice to have a build in oven.

Here is the "veranda" and "sun room" off of the living room area. This "sold" us on the house. We love how it is so bright and gives us a little extra "living space" when it's nice out.

Here is the sink and bath.

We have 2 toilets (separated from the bath and sink) something we havn't had in any other house in Japan yet! The kid's commented on the heated toilet -notice the buttons on the side.

Praise the Lord! We get the keys March 29 and will begin moving in as soon as our household things that were stored in northern Japan are delivered. God's timing is perfect and we are thankful for how He is going before us to prepare the way just as He promises in Psalm 121.
"My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. The LORD protects you; the LORD is a shelter right by your side. The LORD will protect your coming and your going both now and forever."
