It may seem like a small thing, but finding a nice coffee shop that has a fall-festive drink is a real treat. Compared to 25 years ago when there wan't any fall decorations, halloween is popping up all around me in Japan. Granted, I am just looking for some orange pumpkins and colored leaves to usher in the season, happy to leave the bats and jack-o-lanterns behind.
While traveling the other day we walked past a coffee shop advertising this yummy autumn drink. The next morning I was there to sip some pumpkins scent and enjoy the quite music and restful ambiance while I read my Bible and wrote a few letters. Even though it was rather small and over priced, it felt like fall in America and I enjoyed every yummy yen spent.
So 3 cheers to cooler air, colored leaves and pumpkin chai lattes! A great way to spend a morning off and a great way to welcome in my favorite time of year.
