OMF missionaries, as well as many short-termers, serve tirelessly to make this place available to missionaries coming and going as well as those visiting Japan to learn more about OMF's work here. It doesn't require Japanese language ability or a Bible College education to work for a few months to a few years here at the Guest Home. It just takes a willing, serving heart.
Besides a comfy futon to sleep on, we've had access to the Guest Home bicycles that we have used daily to buy groceries, look for needed appliances and furniture and scout out the surrounding area of the neighborhoods of the apartments we've been interested in.
We've seen this stackable approach many times in Japan when you have more bikes than space. The top bike rolls onto a little metal runner that tilts down and you push it up over the other parked bicycles. We have found that using every available space and making things fit is a part of life in Japan.
