When are we not on the road?
This fabulous summer holiday in the States has been characterised by a lot of car time.
- Driving back and forth 2x from the International Airport we flew into
- Driving to our oldest son's new home 2x - to visit and move furniture
- Driving to visit colleges with our youngest son
- Driving 2x to another airport for family and friends coming to the wedding
We figured over 100 hours in the car.
And that is with several planned trips canceled.
Whew!
Needless to say, we are tired and ready to be still and be quiet in one place.
I really don't mind too much the time driving though...
the wide open spaces to visit far off places.
I can never get enough of big sky and golden prairie grasses with back-drop hills
soaked in sunshine warmth.
This is a part of my American life I miss.
