Come on in.
The front door is open.
This familiar cabin beckons us to come and sit awhile...
with sandy toes propped up and a good book,
stretched out for a nap, listening to the sound of waves crashing on the shore.
We are so thankful that our mission provides places for their missionaries to escape to. We help to oversee 2 rustic cabins 5 hours drive north of us. When we aren't washing blankets or fixing decks, we play Spike Ball with the boys in the sand or just sit on the couch with a magazine. We've enjoyed adding some decorative touches too. I stencilled this pillow last year. I love it that we aren't the only ones blessed by our hard work, but others too can enjoy this old place that has become quite dear to our family. Recently an adult MK (missionary kid) visited with his wife and shared how wonderful it was to return after 40 years to the same beach that he had vacationed as a child.
