Isn't there something just magical about Christmas?  The lights, the music. The candles glowing and the cinnamon smelling.  I get wrapped up in the dream-like feeling.  I forget that it is just a normal day. Reality disappointedly sets in.   Life just doesn't stop because it's Christmas.  Kids get sick. Dirty laundry smells. The garbage needs to be taken out and the dry clothes brought in.

Life goes on.  I realise it isn't Christmas instead of the nitty-gritty of daily life, it is celebrating Christ in the midst of the life's messes.  The hope, the light. The beauty that Christmas offers, Christ offers to me each and everyday.
