He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Even though I always feel a little "homesick" at holidays, Easter included,
I stop to remember...
I don't need crumbly chocolate bunnies or crunchy Robin Eggs or creamy Cadbury Eggs
or even adventurous Easter egg hunts or mouth-watering ham dinners
to celebrate.
Here in Asia without all the commercialism,
it's easy to keep my focus.
All I need is Jesus.
He is Alive and Powerful, working in me, through me and around me.
What a reason to celebrate!
We had a great Easter Sunday with lots of new people to hear the Good News. As I sat there singing, "Because He Lives" in Japanese my heart just about burst. After many painstaking years when we first came to Japan, now l can really worship in Japanese. It flows freely from my heart and from my lips. I think we will all be singing at least a verse or two in Japanese in heaven, don't you?
Over the last two days I made over 140 Hot Cross Buns for our worship service potluck yesterday and then for our English Cafe tonight. A fun chance to share this family favorite with others.
