Just one of those days...

I was sick last week, actually 4 out of the 5 us were sick. It hit me hard with just about every symptom a yucky cold-flu bug could knock you down with. There was several times that all I could do was sip a cup of minty tea and just pray to make it through the day. We even succumbed to going into the doctor, just to play it safe.
It's at those times when I'm feeling physically low that I feel extra homesick. I remember one time during our first term when Tim and I were so sick that we could barely get off our futons to care for our little ones. We felt so alone and longed for the support and help from family and friends back in the US.

In the midst of being sick last week, God blessed us. Along with some needed cold medicine, our missionary friend who lives nearby offered us a can of Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup and 2 packages of Jell-O. She might as well offered us a bag of gold. Familiar American comfort food, what a treasure in our home-here-away-from-home.
