One of the things I enjoy while we are home in the States are the Holidays. Now, I know most of you would complain at all the commericalism that invades the stores, and if I lived here all the time I am sure I would agree with you. But, while we are home for this 1 year, we soak it up. The decorations, the cards, the candy...It's just great. I ususally try to pick up a few extras, like decorative paper napkins on sale, to sneak into my suitcase. In Japan I always try to make an effort to "celebrate" these holidays, like The 4th of July, Easter and Thanksgiving, in our home; trying to perserve at least a little bit of our "American-ness".
