We were busy last week writing Christmas cards-New Year's greetings to our friends in Japan. We wanted to write our non-Christian friends at least once this year and since it hasn't happened yet, now was as good of time as any. We want to keep in contact and visit when we are in back in Japan. We also wanted to send our church in Japan Christmas greetings so they would know we are thinking of and praying for them.Japanese usually don't write Christmas cards, but they send New Year's postcards. Each card sent is stamped by the post office with a number. Later in January you take the postcards you received in to the post office to see if any of your numbered postcards are winners. If so you get a free gift. These New Year's cards are all delivered on New Year's DAY. (Wow. You think our mail carriers are busy.)
