well worth it?

The other night we had our front room full of rowdy, pizza eating jr. highers and I loved seeing our kids interact with them in Japanese and help make these young people feel at home.
It hasn't always been that easy. When we came back from home assignment (our year of living in the States visitng supporters and churches) 3 years ago, it would have been more natural to send our kids to the International school across town. Instead we wanted them to re-learn Japanese and acclimate back into the culture, so we sent them to our local Japanese elementary school across the street. It was really hard and many times we thought about pulling out. But now we are so glad we hung in there. God has graciously allowed our kids to speak Japanese well and feel comfortable with Japanese friends in our home.
