A treat while I was in Thailand was walking to this outdoor cafe. In the hot afternoon the scraggly, neighborhood guard dogs lazily sleep as you pass by un-noticed walking the 10 minutes to this little shop. On a 100 degree hot afternoon, a glass mug filled with icy Thai tea hits the spot. It's unique orange colour and rich milky flavor is a true taste of Thailand. For just over a dollar you can sit under a big umbrella and sip the afternoon away enjoying the tropical green that encompasses you. Of course listening to the mopeds zooming by on the dirt road on the other side of the cement wall and swotting at the mosquitos reminds you of reality. Still...a trip to this cafe is a refreshing oasis.
