Are you still counting your gifts?

I am. I was challenged HERE and HERE to 1. choose not to complain (about anything, ever!) and 2. choose thankfulness today for whatever the Lord has given me; vital keys in growing contentment in my oh-so-quick-to-be-discontent heart.

I continue to look for the beauty and blessings around me, fostering thankfulness to and contentment with my God, the gracious giver of each day's hidden, but precious gifts.
#390 Our House...a real blessing from God that we thank him for each day
#391 Festive Fall decorations that cheers my homesick heart
(Hint: I used a white out pen on this slate-chalkboard to be able to write a finer, yet unchangeable, print since regular chalk didn't work well.)

#391 Sunny cool days to dry laundry....oh, how I love autumn!
#392 Crackly brown leaves
#393 A dryer (after 17 years in Japan without one)...especially for those damp, rainy days
#394 Candy Corn, a treasured family fall treat....sent in a care package from our PAC team
#395 That God is good...and He is working His good purposes in and through us
#396 The "Kinmokusei" tree with fragrant bright orange blossoms just outside my front door
#397 Our Wonderful (with a capital "W"!!!) supporters that give faithfully to God and to us
#398 My favorite Japanese pumpkin (winter squash) muffins with sweet chocolate chips and crunchy pumpkins seeds
#399 Laying my heart open before the Lord...submitted and quiet...He meets me here again
