Just wanted to share some snap-shots of our "urban garden". Even though most of the terracotta pots that border our
sun room and veranda are filled with flowers, you will also find some edible greenery such as raspberries, tomatoes, beans and herbs. I don't really have a green thumb, but playing in my pots of dirt with visions of growing things thrills my heart. I'm not sure why our raspberries havn't done too well, they seemed to thrive up in Northern Japan. This year we planted our tomatoes and beans earlier so that we could enjoy the harvest before we escape the dreaded August heat for a few weeks. I transplanted some hardy mint from the side of the road that is now flourishing. Any tips out there for urban gardens? Do share!
