hidden blessings...even for our kids

Today was our oldest son's 1st (he said 181st - since he had 180 days last year - but whose counting) day of school. Even though it has been the hardest for him,out off all our kids, to not go back to Japan this summer as planned, he has had a great attitude. All of last year he was really looking forward to reconnecting with his friends in Japan as well as going back to the school there that he has really thrived at.

But, recently our family has purposely been on the search for, and very thankful for, God's little blessings in this delay. And, one of them is having our good friends at his school this year. We all had breakfast out early this morning to celebrate!

Our HS son asked that we would pray for him to be bold, confident and a light...not easy in a big, public high school where you don't know many people. He also wants to continue to remember that God has special things planned for him, as well as our whole family, in this delay.
