What to wear?? What to pack???

 Here I was...packing...again.  My least favorite traveler pastime.  

(Well, that and lugging heavy suitcases up the stairs at train stations.)

 I didn't want to pack and bring home (U.S. home) clothes and shoes that I would need to turn around  and bring back home (Japan home)  in 7 months, yet I can't go home (U.S. home) with nothing to wear because then I am stressed out shopping and scrounging around for something affordable and appropriate to wear. (I confess I do have a bit of a fight-the-fuddy-duddy-dressed-missionary complex going.)  Always such a dilemma and always such a hassle.  My missionary friend and I were telling each other how we not only need a full house-hold in each country, but a full closet as well!!

This time I brought back a suitcase of sweatshirts and fleeces for the boys that I got at Thrift Shop in Japan where I helped last week.  Who couldn't resist them at a dollar each!!  They will probably out grow them by the end of this year anyway.  Another great find was these rain boots, again for $1. ( I heard it rains like every 3 days in Tokyo, hmmmm, I bet that could be true...)  I always check the bargains in my sunny Northern California hometown 2nd hand shops too, especially on "30% Off Wednesday".

Well, off to unpack and figure out what I will wear today!
